NEXT EARTA LUNCHEON & GENERAL MEETING
Our next luncheon and meeting will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, November 15th at the Elgin
Country Club.
We had a wonderful gathering for our September 20th luncheon and general meeting. The Elgin Country
Club served a superb luncheon that was remarked on by many members. Our speaker, Gary Swick, a
retired District 300 teacher, and local expert on the Fox River, spoke on the current ecosystem of the
Fox River, as well as its importance to our community and to students' education. You can view Gary's

Our next luncheon will be our famous Thanksgiving luncheon, featuring a traditional 4 course
Thanksgiving meal. Also, back by popular demand, will be our seasonal door prizes of famous full-size
homemade pies from Tom's Market, Huntley.
This luncheon would be the perfect opportunity for EARTA members to invite other retired teachers
